“Enloe Charity Ball.” If you had asked me a couple of years ago what those words meant to me, I would have said that it was just a dance put together by Enloe, like homecoming. Over the past two years, these words have gained a new meaning. The Enloe Charity Ball has become a symbol of unity, compassion, and purpose. It’s not just a night to dress up and dance; it’s a night to celebrate the difference we have made in the community. Each year, we’re reminded that even the smallest efforts can have a big impact and that the power of giving back can bring long-lasting change. Seeing the immediate effect we create in people’s lives makes every hour put into this organization worth it. I was able to volunteer at our beneficiary CASA and show the new homeowners where they would be staying. The experience was very emotional for the tenants as they had been through so much just to get to this moment. These moments throughout the Charity Ball season motivate everyone in the organization to work even harder to reach our goals. Everyone has had a different experience, but for me, Enloe Charity Ball has transformed from a dance into a community that can inspire change and show the strength of coming together for something bigger than ourselves.
