A Tradition of Celebration and Service

As Enloe students, we often find ourselves caught up in a whirlwind of balancing academic pressures, countless club meetings, and athletic events. But amidst all the chaos, Enloe Charity Ball has always offered a much-needed outlet for celebration and bonding.

Whether it be wearing a vibrant new outfit, taking photos with friends, or just dancing to the DJ, Charity Ball creates a contagious atmosphere where students can unwind and enjoy one another’s company. While I am incredibly grateful for ECB’s dance, I have also become passionate about what takes place behind the scenes of this spirited school tradition: a months-long process of dedication and involvement.

Through fundraising events such as the Kickball Tournament, the Chess Tournament, and HoCho, our student council and ECB work tirelessly to strengthen the bond between our school community and the greater Raleigh community. I have been able to see this firsthand with all the amazing friendships and connections ECB has inspired: between students, staff, and those we serve. From creating green space for the children of Neighbor to Neighbor to play, to picking vegetables in the garden at Alliance Medical Ministry, and to organizing rooms at Haven House Services, I have immersed myself in a process that reaches beyond monetary donations.

As my four years on Student Council come to an end, I am excited to enjoy my final moments with ECB and create lasting memories I will cherish even after graduation.
