Find What Makes You Feel Accomplished

Running for Student Council—and winning—as a freshman at Enloe is something I will never regret. I’ve always admired how student leaders work to make a difference in their schools, and it has long been a goal of mine to do the same. My older brother first introduced me to the idea through his involvement at Enloe. It was inspiring to see him organize events, lead projects, and drive positive changes. From that moment on, I knew this was something I wanted to be a part of.

One of the most priceless aspects of my role is organizing charity events and fundraising activities, particularly in support of CASA. Helping others has always been important to me, so being part of a team that raises money for the Charity Ball and works toward reducing homelessness in Raleigh by 10% through CASA has been an amazing experience.

Being on Enloe’s Student Council has also helped me develop my leadership and teamwork skills. I’ve learned to collaborate with different groups, manage responsibilities, and make decisions that positively impact our school. This experience has taught me so much about communication, organization, and compassion, enhancing my interest in charity work and supporting those less fortunate. CASA plays such an important role in the community by providing the homeless with a permanent place to stay, which motivates me to fundraise as much as possible for this great organization.

Looking back over the past few months, I’m amazed at the personal growth I’ve experienced through my involvement in Student Council and fundraising for CASA. Joining Student Council is one of the best decisions I’ve made during my freshman year, and I’m grateful to be part of a group that strives to make a difference.
