Since freshman year, I’ve been grateful to play a part in Enloe Charity Ball. Helping people in my community is something I’ve loved to do as a kid, and at 17 years old it continues to be a driving force of my passion for this community event. Seeing the tangible impact of the efforts of a group of high school students is sensational, and being involved in this process is a wonderful experience. Whether I’m emailing donors, volunteering, facilitating or participating in Charity Ball events, every characteristic of this job is both important and fun — but the best part is the people I’m surrounded with.
Everyone on this team has the same motivation to help local nonprofits grow and cultivate success in Wake County. I’ve learned over the years that it’s never a one-person effort; some people may have extensive networks that allow them to bring in more donations while others are keen to volunteer or improve fundraising events. Everyone’s strengths play a part in our mission.
