The beneficiary of this year’s Enloe Charity Ball is CASA.
Since 2004, the Enloe Charity Ball has raised funds and awareness for the work of nonprofits serving the greater Enloe community. Our student-led efforts have Enloe Charity Ball has raised $1,670,862 for area nonprofits, each of which was selected through an annual application process. Enloe Charity Ball received 16 applications from community nonprofits this year, on top of countless letters of interest, and we selected CASA as the beneficiary of our 2024 fundraising efforts.
Our ambitious goal is to raise a dollar amount to support the work and vision of CASA, and we need your help. We are energized by CASA’s mission to provide access to stable, affordable housing for people who are homeless or at risk by developing and managing rental communities. Their numerous programs currently support more than 500 households across Wake, Durham, and Orange Counties. CASA tenants have access to leasing specialists and maintenance technicians to help meet all of their unique needs. CASA continues to have affordable rent with “no time restriction on how long someone can live in one of our properties”, ensuring that all resident’s rent is capped at 30% of their income.
In the coming year, and with your support, Enloe Charity Ball will increase the long-term sustainability of CASA by contributing funds to the comprehensive, accessible, and wraparound services on-site. CASA has received an increase in interest and tenant requests. The funds raised by Enloe will directly support CASA by contributing to King’s Ridge Project (see image below), a unique development with comprehensive onsite services located just a few miles from Enloe High School. King’s Ridge’s 100 units will reduce homelessness in Wake County by a striking 10%.
